Attractions near Storey Lake
You do not need to fill every day with a major theme park. A few smaller outings—and perhaps one longer day trip—can give your Orlando stay a different pace.
Fun Spot America Kissimmee
For rides and go-karts without planning a whole theme park itinerary. The Kissimmee location is at 2850 Florida Plaza Boulevard. Check the ride list and height requirements together before buying passes, especially if children of different ages are travelling.
Fun Spot has more than one location, so make sure your ticket and route match Kissimmee. Compare current pass options with what your group actually wants to ride.
Gatorland
For a day built around Florida wildlife. Gatorland offers animal exhibits and shows, with additional experiences such as its zip line. It is an option to consider when your group wants something different from another coaster-focused park day.
Check what standard admission covers and which experiences require separate booking. Height, age and other participation requirements vary, so read the details before promising an activity to younger travellers.
Disney Springs
For an afternoon that can turn into dinner out. Browse the dining options and choose a restaurant before deciding how long to stay. This is a useful flexible plan when some of your group want a slower start after a busy day.
Leave time for parking and walking, and book ahead if a particular restaurant is important. Our dining guide includes table-service and casual options here.
Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex
A longer day trip for space enthusiasts. Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is on Florida’s Space Coast, rather than in the immediate Storey Lake area. Give it a dedicated day so you can enjoy the exhibits without rushing back for another booking.
Use the official attraction guide to choose priorities. Launches depend on operational schedules and can change; do not build the whole trip around seeing one unless you are comfortable with that uncertainty.

A different pace in Winter Garden
For a day without a ride schedule, consider downtown Winter Garden. Plant Street brings together local shops, cafés and places to stop for a meal. Leave room to walk around rather than planning every stop.
This is a separate drive from Storey Lake. Check live directions, parking and the opening hours of any business you particularly want to visit.

Match the outing to your group
Start with energy levels, ages and interests. A shorter ride-based outing might suit an arrival or departure day, while a Space Coast visit needs more room in the schedule. Check opening hours and ticket conditions directly before committing.
For outdoor attractions, look at the forecast and keep a flexible alternative. Carry the essentials your group needs, allow breaks and avoid stacking timed reservations so tightly that a traffic delay spoils the afternoon.
